AGE PENSION CLAIMS


PensionLink will explain how the age pension asset and income test works so that everything makes sense to you.

We inform you of the thresholds to obtain the maximum rate of pension, part pension rates and the pension cut off limits.

We also discuss what it means to you, if you have a partner/spouse who is not of Age Pension age to claim.

During the claim process, we inform and help you to obtain all of the documents that will be required by

Centrelink to support and successfully lodge your claim. 

PensionLink will then lodge your claim and give you an estimated time of completion by Centrelink. 

PensionLink will provide you a copy of the claim and the reported assets/income for your records and

keeping you completely informed on what has been reported to Centrelink.

We will keep you informed if the claim is not processed by Centrelink's quoted estimated time of completion and

we will follow up with Centrelink as to why and rectify.

The registration of PensionLink as your nominee to handle all of your correspondence during the claim process allows

PensionLink to update any additional information that Centrelink may request, via our Government Business Hub Portal.

Once the claim is approved and actioned, PensionLink provides you a copy of your Governement Age Pension Statement by Centrelink.


YEARLY ONGOING SERVICE


 This is a service to allow PensionLink to keep your financial position recorded with Centrelink up-to-date, to guarantee you’re receiving the correct government age pension rate and not accrue any debt from Centrelink.

We will keep your Centrelink record up to date by providing regular updates to your income and assets (every quarter)

and provide you with a current Age Pension Statement.

Should you have any urgent changes in circumstance we will update these details within the allocated period Centrelink requires. PensionLink will keep you informed with reporting requirements or any legislative changes with the Age Pension .

We will respond to any letters or correspondence you receive from Centrelink via our Business Hub.

The Government Business Hub portal has priority and is much more expedient with updating records

​and maintaining proof of updates. 


CONSULTATIONS


This is a personal consultation to assist with the Age Pension Claim consisting of a comprehensive meeting,

where we use the payment finder and rate estimator to uncover your potential entitlements. 

We will provide you with the claim forms and the supporting documents you will be required to provide to Centrelink.

 We will also explain how Centrelink assess different payments, concession cards and how the age pension

asset and income test works, so as it all will make sense to you.

You will also be informed of the thresholds to obtain the maximum rate of pension, part pension rates and the cut-off limit.

We provide a client appointment record document to you, with a breakdown of your income and assets

as discussed during the consultation.


PENSIONER CONCESSION CARDS


PensionLink can complete any of the required concession card application forms

and explain the form requirements so as it makes sense.

The differences between a Pensioner Concession Card, Low Income Health Care Card,

Commonwealth Seniors Health Care Card and the Qld Seniors Card will be clarified.

The criteria for eligibility assessed by Centrelink on the concession card that suits your circumstance, will also be explained.

We also discuss with you how to get the most out of your concession card and what discounts you may be entitled to.

We can respond to any Centrelink concession card review forms on your behalf by acting as your nominee.
