I did my husband’s application for the Aged Pension when he turned 65 and it was an absolute headache.
Not being able to speak to anyone at Centrelink that could answer questions and not knowing our way around the system. Even though we started the process prior to his reaching pension age, he still had to wait approximately 3 months for the pension to start (we did get back paid).  When I almost reached retirement age

I recently attended a Centrelink office to apply for an age pension, as I was now 66.
I was advised that I needed to apply online. I had several attempts navigating the assessment process, and finally sent it off with fingers crossed.
